The Edmonton year

Four seasons, four ways
a gutter fails.

Eavestroughs here aren't fighting rain — they're fighting a freeze-thaw cycle, elm leaf, cottonwood fluff and eight months of ice. Here's what each part of the year does to the run above your head.

Spring melt
Summer debris
Autumn leaves
Winter ice
Spring melt · snowmelt overflow
What we do

Five jobs that keep
water off your walls.

One crew, one visit. Most homes need two of these — we'll tell you which two, and we'll tell you when the other three aren't worth your money.

Gutter guard installation Guards

Gutter guard installation

Micro-mesh and aluminum guards fitted to your trough profile, not clipped on top of it. Sized for elm leaf, poplar fluff and shingle grit — the three things that actually clog Edmonton eaves.

Downspout installation & repair

New runs, replacement elbows and extensions that carry water a proper distance from the foundation — the fix that quietly prevents a wet basement.

Reinforcement and slope correction Pitch

Reinforcement & slope correction

Sagging sections re-hung on hidden hangers and re-pitched so water moves to the outlet instead of standing in the trough and freezing there all winter.

The difference

Drag the handle.
That's a single visit.

Same trough, same afternoon. Every job ends with photos like these — one set per elevation, sent before the invoice.

Before gutter cleaning
After gutter cleaning
Before After

Clogged troughs don't stay a gutter problem.

Water that can't leave the roof soaks fascia, rots soffit, freezes into dams under the shingles and pools against the foundation. Everything downstream of a blocked eavestrough costs more to fix than the eavestrough.

How a job runs

Four steps, in this order,
every time.

No door-knocking, no surprise add-ons, no invoice before you've seen the work.

Step 01

Tell us the address

Call or send the form. We size the job from the roofline and give you a flat price — no walk-around required.

Step 02

We inspect and photograph

Every run is checked for standing water, loose hangers, split seams and failed slope before anything gets touched.

Step 03

Clear, repair, flush

Debris out by hand, downspouts flushed, repairs done on the spot where they're small enough to handle same-visit.

Step 04

Photo report, then paid

Before-and-after photos of each elevation land in your inbox. You pay once you've seen the work.

"They found a split seam over our back door that two other companies had walked straight past. Fixed it the same afternoon and sent photos."

Questions we get every week.

Twice a year for most homes — a spring clean after the melt and a late-October clean once the elms and poplars have finished dropping. If you have mature trees directly over the roofline, add a mid-summer flush after the cottonwood fluff comes down.

Good ones do. Coarse plastic screens fail here because fluff mats over them. We fit micro-mesh sized to shed fine seed and shingle grit, and we still recommend a yearly top-side check — a guard reduces cleaning, it doesn't end it.

Yes, for ice damming, emergency blockages and heat-cable installs. Full cleans wait until the trough has thawed, because chipping frozen debris out of aluminum is how eavestroughs get bent and seams get split.

A standard bungalow clean starts around $149 and a two-storey with complex rooflines is usually $229–$329. Repairs and guard installs are quoted per linear foot after inspection. You get the number in writing before we start.

No. As long as we have gate and yard access, most customers are at work. You'll get a text when the crew arrives and the photo report when they leave.
